Taxi & Private Hire Training Course (20th 21st & 22nd January 2009)
Overview - The five courses and modules...
Five courses are provided to cater for the varying levels of theoretical and practical experience of delegates, each consisting of ten modules. Briefly...
Course One
Course One is designed for new or relatively new licensing officers, enforcement officers, admin officers, solicitors, or those people who wish to increase their basic knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of vehicle, driver and operator licensing. The modules cover such subjects as licensing legislation, forms and PACE.
Course Two
Course Two is for people who have completed level one, or are confident they have the basic tools to do their job, but want to increase their knowledge to a higher level. The modules add to the knowledge of level one subjects and may include practical workshops and open forums.
Course Three
Course Three takes delegates into an in depth study of interview techniques and of themselves to help with their personal motivation, team working, relationships and planning. The course may be supported by practical workshops and open forums.
Course Four
Course Four is intended to build on the previous more theoretical levels. Its emphasis is on the practical application of evidence, PACE, court theory and practice. It culminates in the preparation and presentation of a practical court case, so that delegates can have constructive criticism about their attitudes and performance. In common with the other levels, practical workshops and open forums may be provided to take off the pressure.
Course Five
Course Five Incorporates the important elements of Crime and Disorder, Conflict Management and Personal Safety.
